For the second year running, Scion is partnering with Polaris Music Prize on their annual Surprise Split 7" Series, a collection of special vinyl releases distilling tracks from Short List nominated artists on limited edition wax. The 2013 series pairs together Short List artists each vying for the distinction of Canadian Album of the Year, the $30,000 in prize money, and nation-wide acclaim. The opposing artists on the Polaris 7" series appear on different coloured vinyl, as follows:

Zaki Ibrahim & Whitehorse (white)

Purity Ring & Colin Stetson (purple)

Metric & Young Galaxy (blue)

METZ (yellow)
